Improving the Quality of Livestock Raw Materials and Dairy Products for Export
Mr. Ch.Davaabayar, Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia on Industry and Services, has been appointed as a member of the Project Steering Committee for the “Provincial and Soum-Level Green Regional Development Investment Program”, which is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

An introductory meeting for the new Steering Committee member was held at the Ministry of Economy and Development (MED), where the project was presented by Ms. J. Unurjargal, Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of MED and Executive Director of the Program, along with Dr. N. Tegshbayar, Chief Coordinator of the Project.

This investment program is closely aligned with the Parliament’s Resolution No. 36 on “Measures to Ensure Food Security,” and with Mongolia’s medium-term policy frameworks, including the “New Recovery Policy” and the “Urban and Rural Recovery” agenda. The program plays a critical role in supporting domestic production of 19 key food products.
The program has a planned budget of USD 735 million and will be implemented across 76 soums in 17 provinces. It aims to develop climate-resilient, low-carbon, and livable urban and rural settlements, while enhancing the quality of livestock raw materials, meat, and dairy products for export.
The implementation will follow a phased approach:
- Phase I: 2024–2029
- Phase II: 2026–2030
- Phase III: 2028–2033
Members of the Project Steering Committee emphasized that the program will be implemented in close alignment with key national movements initiated by the President of Mongolia, including the “Food Revolution,” “White Gold,” “Atar-4,” and “New Cooperative” initiatives.
